One more day…

I’m excited to wake up and go vote tomorrow. Something big’s happening, and it’s a weird, good feeling to be a part of it. I don’t have much faith in politicians any more of any stripe. The last campaign I actually got excited enough about to get off my ass and make phone calls and knock on doors was Matt Gonzalez’s Green Party run for the office of mayor of San Francisco several years ago. Strange to see him now bolstering the ticket on another misguided Nader campaign.

But I’m excited about the possibilities for change in this election, especially after the last eight years.

After that, I promise to re-focus this blog on matters closer to my heart, especially poetry. I’ve a stack of great new books here from wonderful poets that I’ve been eager to reflect and write on. In that vein, here’s Dale Smith’s review of Roger Snell’s new release The Morning, which I’ll also weigh in on when there’s more time.

Happy voting everyone!
