A woman opens a book with nothing inside
Love comes quietly
The gods waver. To reiterate a point, the gods oversee
lost boyhood innocence.

It was a dark, fading night.
There is a curving belly. The cow’s head is away from me
Let the body be.
Delivered into our hands

is a person of rare refinement
It’s the shape of a body in a grove, everything sudden.
Father had a monument
birds storm through his windows

words shipwreck upon ecstasy, yet are
bearded, with clothes that were
